Jeetal Shah Inks No Not Again ...
Not again—the cry, the shout, the fear,
Pain so loud for all to hear.
Each new day brings morning light,
But still we face the same dark night.
Hurt, attacked, with no defense,
Lives destroyed, it makes no sense.
Some live on with marks so deep,
Others are lost, in endless sleep.
Why, oh why, does hate still grow?
Why do hearts turn cold as snow?
Did he forget his mother’s care?
His sister’s smile, so soft and rare?
How can he harm with so much pride,
A girl who could be his own bride?
Her blood falls down upon the land,
A world that doesn’t understand.
Picture a place that’s quiet and bare,
No voice, no song, just empty air.
No girls to laugh, no babies cry,
No hope to live, just dreams that die.
The joy of life is torn and gray,
The light and color fade away.
No healing hands, no love to find,
Just lonely hearts and broken minds.
If women’s strength were swept away,
The world would turn to night from day.
A world with no one left to care,
No peace, no love, just cold despair.
So tell me please, when will it stop?
When will this fear and hurting drop?
When will our girls be safe and free
To live with love and dignity?
